This faintly absurdist tragicomedy by Tom Stoppard tells the story of the two minor characters from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, as they are buffeted about on the margins of the classic tale. Joined by the royals of Hamlet and a troupe of down-at-heel tragedians, this ultimately likeable pair form the center of their own story this time around. In their ins and outs surface revelations about death, acting, the laws of probability, and the value of questions asked as well as answered. What does it all add up to? Can’t you guess? Is there a choice? And, most importantly, are you going to be there?
ADMISSION IS FREE. Parking is $9 in UCLA Lot 6.
Lot 6: From 405 Freeway: Exit Wilshire Blvd. east. Turn left on Westwood Blvd. Proceed through several lights on to the UCLA Campus. Westwood Blvd. will dead-end at Lot 6.
